Red Bull Racing driver Sebastian Vettel, who won his third successive world drivers’ contest title in the 2012 Formula 1 season, has been designated as the European Sportsman of the Year. Vettel performed extremely well in this season and fought imposing until the very end of the season.

Although, the Milton Keynes based group faced enormous problems with their car design during the start of the season because of the changes in the rules by FIA and particularly the ban on twice diffuser.

However, they came back very well as their chief technical officer, Adrian Newey effectively organize to develop the most capable car towards the end of the year with which the 25-year-old almost became incontrovertible and claimed his third consecutive world championship title.

It will be significant to declare that Vettel had a very tough struggle with Fernando Alonso of Ferrari who also performs extraordinarily well. Nonetheless, he won the championship battle by just 3 points from the Spaniard and became the youngest triple world winner in the history of F1.

The veteran German has been designated as best by the journalists from 26 news charity and won the poll with 137 points from his main adversary, Bradley Wiggins who is the first ever British to win Tour de France. Additionally, Wiggins was immediately 7 points following the veteran German driver.
